Society Aims & Objectives:

- To help eliminate MS by funding research into the nature, causes, treatment, diagnosis and management of the disease.
- To apply results of worldwide research towards programs of treatment, prevention and cure.
- Through the National Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation, to encourage individuals and organisations to support a coordinated and nationwide research program.
- To rationalise public education and awareness programs by producing publications and other materials.
- To encourage cooperation in government relations, fundraising, project development, staff training, planning health economics, state office development assistance, recruitment and evaluation.
- To take part in the worldwide fight against MS with the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies.
- To develop common systems to reduce costs, compare data and share resources.
- To develop the People with MS movement.
